Subject: Construction Update from Denton!!!


So far, the track surface has been completed in concrete 50ft wide with the 250ft extension behind the starting line to be poured Monday. The lights have all been removed from the pits so the old wooden poles (except the 2 w/ transformers) are gone. In their place will be pole lights w/ a concrete base. The bases have been poured. The ENTIRE pit area and the area where the gate house was back to and including the staging lanes will have brand new asphalt as of Tuesday, June 4. The dirt work for the new entrance road off the I-35 access road will be completed this week. They will continue work on that phase and building the new tower while we keep on racing. The underground work for the new flush toilets is in progress, as is the new snack bar construction. They will be finished soon. The entire peremiter of the track is currently being fenced. Obviously, we are contending w/ construction deliveries and other deadlines that go along w/ construction, but we have an AMAZING crew (especially the sexy electrician!!) that are working their butts off to get us going!

The Bracket program is currently being developed and we hope to have a schedule completed soon. The bracket program will include a Jr. program. The track IS an NHRA member track, meeting all criteria for shut down and safety requirements.

Avoiding any uncontrollable events or delays,we plan to open this Thursday, June 6, for Test-N-Tune - all cars welcome! It's $10, race or watch.

Don't forget to watch the video on the Denton board - post begins with "Behold..."!

ALSO - KOTH RETURNS THIS SATURDAY!!! 15$ per person, $5 for a run card for non-KOTH racers.
