I read the same news too.... I think probably it is partly due to the average story and viewership of SDEP 2 compared to part 1 so far.

But,I think Channel 8 is wrong to make such a decision because by then SDEP 2 would only have about 2 weeks plus of show more and I wonder does these 2 weeks of competition means a lot to them. Anyway, Mediacorp has already claimed that they are still the best and why are they so afraid of losing the viewership for just 2 weeks.

Futhermore, I personally feel that although SDEP 2 does not has a great impact as compared to part 1, but by mid December it is suppose to reach the climax for the last few episodes....I mean the last 2 does provide some impact to me (when Qian Qian sacrifice her life for the Emperor)

Channel 8, can't you just wait for 2 more weeks......you have already done that to QSSYMM before...seems like history is going to repeat itself.
