I've just done the page that will go between pages 2 and 3 (making it the new page 3) where she climbs further up the tree to investigate, when she suddenly realizes that she forgot her knife back on the lower branch that she was sleeping on. This will then lead to the abrupt dino attack. I think it works pretty well. The pacing seems better this way. I'd show you, but I'm feeling to lazy to scan and upload right now.
