Subject: Noooooooooo! Not the "E" word... ANYTHING but the "e" word!



One of the things I've been fawning over is the new Gungrave figure at TTF it really had me excited. Because A.) Its a figure based on a really cool video game that I'm pretty sure I'm going to like. and B.) Nightow was going to produce it via toytribe, who IMO put out some of the best stuff on the market. So I was reeeeeaaaalllllyyyy looking forawrd to it.

Then i was reading the Videogame news and they were going on about Gunraves release date blah blah blah july 18th in japan blah blah blah.... "Special version of game that comes with exclusive 9800 yen"

EXCLUSIVE?! EXCLUSIVE?! ARGH! NOOOOOOOO!!!! Not the "e" word, when i hear the e-word related to some figures i want it's like a kick to the nuts.



Oh man i gotta keel over and get my wind back. ARGH EXCLUSIVE!!! Thats not fair! Wahhh! Alright I fully understand the point of exclusives and when it's not something big like a repaint or a slight retooling thats no big deal, thats cool with me I can live without a non-cannon repaint like Jorg Scual or if its some non important character its not the end of the world. But when it's the Main dude, and the only toy of the character to begin with thats just plain evil.

Oh woe is me [or is it "woe as me"]....

I have come up with a theory tho' now when i first saw the proto pics of the gungrave figure i thought it was kind of odd that it didnt have any articulation, cause nightow loves the articulation, he's the madman that designed wolfwood and Monev, who have insane articulation. I figured maybe it was just a really early mock up sculpt, but now its starting to make sense to me. It doesn't have articulation cause its an exclusive pack in with the game, and when figures don't have articulation its a way of keeping cost down. I think this may just be a figurine that will be shrunk down a little bit and maybe, just maybe Nightow will have a REAL gungrave line in the works with kaiyodo. Anyways thats what i hope happens.

I may cave in and get the exclusive but they should offer that in the US too, i wouldn't be able to play the JP gungrave game.
