Subject: saturday night adult swim

what the hell? is the crappy 'kid safe' dub of outlaw star the only one they did? I finally watched saturday adult swim that I'd taped from the other night(forgot about the first week until it was too late), and while it's cool to have the original japanese intros to all the shows, and the outlaw star intro is fresh, it's the same crappy censored version of the show. blaster instead of saying gun, no blood, melfina has a bikini drawn in, Gene says 'heck' and 'darn' a lot, he's a 'space rookie', etc...

since they have cowboy bebop in the lineup, suddenly outlaw star is really pathetic. it's feels like it's written by high school students who think they're being all mature and adult by killing people and flashing boobs.
when you then try to tone that down to kid safe again, it's laughable. again, mostly because a truly adult show, Bebop, comes on first. outlaw star just doesn't compare, AT ALL.

which is why they should have run an uncut subtitled verion. that'd have been really cool. oh well. the other shows are worth catching: 0083 roxxors and I can finally see the first tenchi again!

need to buy more computer parts/build supercomputer so I can buy/watch the tenchi muyo and tenchi in tokyo dvds. and bebop. and eva. and lain. and I can buy niea7 and bubblegum crisis 2040 and all the other crap I want to see but haven't...
that reminds me, I still have trigun bootlegged on cd that I ought to watch. and some ranma and some other stuff... I forgot about all that.
