I was a little kid when I lived in Mass., but I can still remember people saying stuff like "Hey, go pahk the cah." I think the R's from New England migrated to Texas, where people add the r's to words for no reason. For example: "Hey, go warsh the car."

Of course, now I live in a place where most people have really bad mullets. I'm not sure what causes people to chose the mullet so often here since it's illegal to sell alcohol.
