They should apologize (not one of those conditional "if anyone was offended.." apologies)and move on. If a Navy beat writer made that big a deal over it, it probably went too far. Apologize, put an end to it now and move past it.

This is not new to this particular group of players....

This happened at the Hart several years ago when the Bucknell women beat HC during the PL final. The team came and danced and pounded on our logo at center court. It didn't rankle me so much, but the coaching staff was a little bothered.

Thing is, there is a difference b/t the dance thing and chanting this "is our house" (basically saying, you just got owned). The latter does appear to be disrespectful. Fedorjka, if just for public relations matters, should nip it in the bud. I also don't buy that it is not directed at anybody, b/c it clearly is.

Cheers.

Not new to this particular group of players?

Wrong. The game you cite was March, 2002. All of the "players" involved in that game have graduated.

Celebrating a milestone like the school's first ever league championship is an entirely different thing than what happened on Saturday.

you are correct, I misspoke...brain fart, what I meant was that something similar has happened before but not with these girls.

Cheers.

and similar is not exact....the latter event is actually far worse to me...but that is just me. Thing is, whether its dancing/pounding on a logo or chanting "this is our house" after a game is not necessarily the classiest thing in the world. The coach should not make excuses on this one.

And for the Bison, here, I am not attacking the team...kids make mistakes....but the coach should know better.

Cheers.
