In what seemed fairly predictable the bison were a unanimous choice as pre-season champ. They got all 14 votes that they could (you can't vote for your own school). What I thought more interesting was Chris McNaughton getting the pre-season POY nod. I like the choice as a biased alumae, But I think Hamilton (HC) is more likely to have more touches per game becuase the Bison attack is so balanced. What does anyone else think

Unless McNaughton can significantly increase his rebounding (last year only 4.9 rpg, behind hamilton and lee among others), I think Hamilton will be POY again.

They'll probably have to win the league for McNaughton to be POY. The last time a POY came from a non-first place team was 96-97 when Adonal Foyle won it with 3rd place Colgate. Rob Feaster also won it with 4th place Holy Cross in 94-95. Every other POY has come from the regular season first place team (or tied for first).
