Since I was castigated for discussing ratings - I'll try discussing upcoming opponents.

Niagara represents a formidable challenge - and does not generally lose at home (18 game win streak). Let's hope the team can again "find a way to win" a tough road game.

The Niagra game notes are very complimentary to the Bison - to the point of noting Niagara is a "fellow NCAA Cinderella" to Bucknell (they don't mention Niagara got mowed over by OU in the 1st round, though)...

castigated? Come now.

Solid points......In reality, this could be a tougher game than Depaul.

Sorry. Reading the HC board too much makes me dramatic. At least I used a 4-syllable word.

I concur that Niagra poses a threat greater than DePaul.

GB, it's okay for us to speculate about and look at the polls. we are fans and that is part of the fun of this experience that we are fortunate to have. the team, hopefully, does not get caught up in this and does focus on the next opponent.

i really like Flannery's approach of encouraging the team to enjoy the big wins, but then move on and realize that past wins do not create an entitlement to future success.

i am also happy to read that the posters here are able to enjoy the success, but are realistic enough not to believe we are going to sweep through other good mid-majors without difficulty.

Niagara should be an exciting game. the team will need to execute well and control the pace. i would assume Niagara will try to pressure the ballhandlers as in past years. the team has handled that better so far this year, but this may be the first big test of ball handling this year. Abe Badmus will be a key as usual.

I'm thinking about driving out from Easton for the St Joes game on 12/21. I'm assuming the students will be on break and tickets will be available (and that 80 will be snow free). I know Villanova is a sellout but is St Joes??

Ken - Boeheim pressed the entire 2nd half (it sparked their run before halftime) - and extended the zone a bit.. They did a very nice job adapting to (and breaking) the full court pressure.

The other thing to keep in mind with the challenges ahead is that the team is also preparing for final exams over the next few weeks, which will make this already difficult week and a half even harder...

Xbo - There are tickets to be had.

didn't see or hear the Syracuse game, that is good news.

thanks for the heads up on the Niagara game notes. i went and read them. i really like their approach to focus on the game including good info on their opponent, and think Bucknell's game notes would be improved by providing more info on the opposing team. seems our notes focus more on what has happened in the past than on the upcoming game.
