This kind of closing ability has got to pay dividends in League play.

I don't think (time will tell) that anyone in the PL this year will be as good as Syracuse OR Niagra. Winning games like this on the road prepares them well for the tough games at Bender and Hart yet also sets a high bar.

Here's the scoop as I see it now.....If Bucknell manages to win all of their non-League games with the exception of Nova and Duke (Numbers #1 and #4 in the country is unrealistic in my opinion), cruise through League play and then stub a toe in the League Tourney, I believe a 26-4 Bison team gets in as in at large.

Thoughts?

i agree that that is the scenario that could lead to an at large bid, but i have no desire to see the theory tested. Best not to stumble in the PL playoffs.

Also agree, but it should help come seeding time. Last year, a 14 seed and missing getting a #1 or #2 seed in the 1st round made all the difference.

These road wins will help come seeding time and will hopefully boost our seed out of the 'teens... which translates to a much more winable 1st round game. In fact, seeding 11-13 is perfect as you can then avoid the 1 and 2 seeds until the sweet 16. I actually don't want a seed higher than 11 unless it's below #7 (which isn't happening unless we beat Duke and Nova).
