i just spent about half an hour on google earlier this afternoon. i wont go back and look for all of the articles (there are only about four pages to look through if you put his name in quotes and follow it with basketball), but i will fill in what i remember from memory.

there was an article on stephens high school team heading into the playoffs when stephen was a sophomore. he was described as the best player on the team and perhaps one who could play at either guard position.

stephen won his 'best defender' award at a five-star camp hosted by robert morris university between his sophomore and junior seasons.

as a pure athlete, i am just going by his success as both a football and basketball player. he definitely would have had the opportunity to play 1-a football... and when youre getting looks from schools like iowa as a wide reciever, that says a lot. thats just my take, though.

as for schools, that can be found on rivals.com... except for stanford, which i found on a texas high school football message board.

again, just google "stephen tyree" basketball or something similar and youll find everything i was able to glean. a football piece from november 23rd even stated he was bucknell bound.
