CBS Sportsline just posted the following BU Tidbit:
Expansion mistake: If the Big East could do it over, it would take Bucknell over South Florida. You say Bucknell doesn't play football? I say South Florida doesn't play basketball. But Bucknell does. The Bison now own two road wins against Big East teams, adding DePaul's scalp Saturday to the rug it sliced off of Syracuse. Both those Bucknell wins were on the road. The question isn't whether Bucknell will get an NCAA bid. The question is, how good will its seed be?

Wow!! Pretty Strong Words from a Network that used Bob Wenzel to call our win over Kansas and Mis-pronounce Bison all night long.

Bucknell has moved up in the College Insider Mid Major Poll -- to #3. Should quiet some Holy Cross skeptics who scoffed at Bucknell ranked #8 in the preseason.

Not going to try to hide it.......It pisses me off this team is 5-0 with 4 road victories, 2 over Big East schools one of which was ranked, and we're not ranked.

Now, we'll lose to Villanova and it will be negative headlines: "Bucknell hits reality check" or whatever they write.......

I have had a bad day at work.

so long as we keep it within ten, it will be a win. obviously, id like to actually win... but villanova is a very, very good team right now. we play with them and we will have proven we can play with anyone in the country.

I certainly hope it is one for the ages! I just hope this east coast snow storm doesn't screw up my drive out there to see it.

I'd love to see a win too. Who knows, even very good teams have off nights

I hope we are not going to have to go through this again. If you guys knock off Nova will you be starting a thread how the PL isn't good enough for you and how you could have, should have been in the Big East, SEC, ACC, etc or becom the East Coast Gonzaga?

IMHO Absolutely Not. I'd rather be king of the Patriot League for a long long time. We're just going to play hard nosed Pat Flannery Bison Basketball and show all comers what that means: A program with great integrity and that will play anyone anywhere anytime and give them a Game.

Has Holy Cross joined the A-10 or Big East yet?

I've lost track of them.

All of us bball fans in the Patriot League will be rooting for you guys (well maybe not HC). I wish it was on regular ESPN. I can't get the broadband feed because I don't have one of the ISP"S that has EPSN 360. It is one of the big games of night. Is it posible it could still be picked up by regular ESPN?? Can I get a radio feed at least.
I can't wait to get scholarships and see a real competitve game betweem you guys and the Leopards. For tomorrow I'll have to be a Bison fan!!!

There are several radio feeds available, as well as a video feed for $7.50 (I think) The place to look is the Bison Athletics Website under Live Audio and Video

responding to Xbo: All the talk about "Gonzaga of the East," is on the HC board--you didn't see anything about that here. Same goes for the PL--i don't ever recall any "we are too good for this league" posts on this board. The fact of the matter is that we are just going to enjoy the ride.

I also do not think Flannery will load up the schedule like this again. He knew that this was the time to do it, if he was ever going to do it, and events would seem to have proven him right even if BU loses to 'nova and Duke.

To add to unwired: The better that the Bison do the harder it will be to schedule games at top programs, even guarantee games at Big East, Pac10, Big Ten, ACC, etc. As those teams won't want to risk a loss against a Patriot League Team

Xbo - you just don't get it. The league is fine with us. Bucknell's focus on being the best they can be in their current situation got them to where they are today - not wanderlust to be something they aren't.

We will all be back tomorrow, irregardless of what happens tonight - which makes this evening all the more special.

'Ray Bucknell!
