all right Bucky D., i am on the Badmus bandwagon after what i saw. he has a great handle and is quick on quick. he needs to become at least a threat to shoot from outside. currently he almost never looks to shoot ( i woulda said never except he took one jumper finally against Charleston). shot doesn't look pretty (neither the one he took in the game ar a few in warm ups) nor do his free throws, but most went in. he can beat his man off the dribble even without the threat.

anyway, to the team. they are vastly improved since the Yale game. i was delighted with their level of play in both games. the Charleston game largely got away early in the second half, the Bison went cold, partly good CofC defense, but also some good shats simply missed; meanwhile Charleston was on fire inside and out. kept playing hard and got back within 6 or 7 at one point. Charleston is a very good team, a lot of good and talented athletes, that is also playing very well. will not be surprised if they give Wisconsin a great game.

i will go on record here and now, I expect a win at Penn State if they play as well as they did in Charleston.

Thanks, KenZ:

Great news as I sit here fighting the flu...big time. Hard to tell how well we played from the call of the game by our guys over the internet, all they kept talking about was the refereeing.

Abe has tools that are special, quickness and explosiveness that make JR and Bailey look slow. Glad to hear he is developing. I, too, think this is the year to take out the Nittany Lions, even though they appear to be better coached this year.

Too tired to continue due to the flu, thanks again for the update.

Thanks for the input......Living in Florida now I can usually only grab a holday time game to see and got to see Ursinus this year. Thus, I have to base my impressions of this team on stats, Internet radio, and one game in person.

This team is going to be oh so good next year it scares me. These guys Bettencourt, Lee, McNaughton, Brown, Glover are the best athletes I have ever seen on the floor for Bucknell. It excites me to no end. Badmus and Clark...it is going to be fun to watch this team grow through PL play and make noise come the tourney.

Guys:

I've seen some HC games on DirecTV and I believe we are more athletic. Big Mac better than Lufkin, although less experienced. Brown a match for HC's Simmons. Meade the best PG. They wish they had Bett. Abe an "aid based" gem. Bring on the league!!

The flu is subsiding.

glad to hear you are on the mend.

Skornik's game against Charleston was as good as his stats indicated. against Yale I observed he made a few good offensive moves, but could not finish. against Charleston he was able to finish.

regarding the reffing in the Charleston game, on the whole it seemed fairly balanced to me, not perfect, but not significantly biased either. the Charleston fans around me thought it was horrible in favor of Bucknell and i guess our anouncers thought it was home cooking for CofC. pretty typical biased observations on both parts. there was one call where they gave an NBA type continuation move and basket to Skornik. i think that was the call that set Herrion off for his T.

McNaughton has incredible offensive skills, but has a long way to go on defense and rebounding. to be fair, no one on Bucknell could stop CofC's center, 6'9", 270#, sr. and i don't believe they will see that caliber of center in the PL this year.

Brown is the most complete player of the freshman. he also showed ability in the air to adjust and control. was interested to hear your assessment relative to Simmons who the HC fans are very high on.

we need another consistent outside threat. Niesz has some good days, but not regularly enough and Quinn doesn't look for the outside shot that often in his reserve role. i think this is something we'll have to wait another year for.
