Subject: Red-brown Urine -- UTI?

I was catching Honey Bun this afternoon for her ear drops (recurring yeast problem), and noticed some dried urine on the edge of her litter pan. It looked red-brown in color. She is not spayed (yet).

She is getting the ear drops, which are Tresederm. She also has alfalfa pellets in her litter box that she sometimes snacks on, and gets carrots fairly regularly. Does alfalfa ever colour their urine red as it does in horses, or pass through orange as it does in guinea pigs, or am I most likely dealing with a urinary tract infection??
