Jessica-
My love for rabbits began when I was 9 years old and started out in 4-H. In my case, rabbits and rabbit breeding always went together. I was taught early-on to be responsible when breeding and to always have a plan and a purpose for breeding. So I basically grew up with rabbits. I went without bunnies in my life for quite awhile when I got married and during my children's early years. But as soon as I saw that one of my kids had an interest in taking up the 4-H rabbit project with me, I was so thrilled to be back with my furry friends. It takes time, commitment and energy (not to mention money) to breed, show and care for rabbits, even on a small scale as we do, but the personal rewards are worth the work and heartaches that come with raising rabbits. So glad to hear that you will be able to get that bunny that you've been waiting for--good luck to you!
