i saw on a site once that you can get a piece of plexi glass cut to fit the size you need at lowe's or home depot and put it down, then you could put a piece of carpet over it.. that way if your bun has an accident outside of the litter box before she/he is litter trained it won't get on your floor even if it goes thru the carpet the plexi glass will catch it.
