hey suzanne,
I would cut a piece of lanolium larger than the cage. Give maybe 3 or 4 inches per side. Then put the cage down in the middle of the lanolium so that you have a 3 or 4 inch border all the way around the cage. That should give you some extra protection from bunny accidents while you are potty training. When I litter trained my rabbit I put a litter box in every corner of the cage. I know that some say that it might confuse the bunny, but my bun picked one to do his business in and I just took the others out. You can also get stuff to wrap around the bottom of the cage to keep the turds from flying out. It's made for bird cages, looks kind of like a net that you put around the bottom few inches of the cage. As for the door, I used these little clips, I don't know what they're called. People have them on key chains some times. You can buy them at Walmart in the hardware department. I used zip ties to make a hinge. We have a 2 cube by 2 cube cage with 2 floors, 2nd floor is half the size of the 1st floor. I hope this hasn't confused you horribly. Email me if you want more help.
