Hi Angie!

Great choice on a rabbit. 8^) I'll be getting my first bunny in less than a month now. I'm really excited.

Bedding - If you want a wood based bedding, use Aspen. Pine and Cedar are bad for the animal's respritory system. I'm not sure what it is...I think there is some type of chemical in those types of wood. DON'T use corncob bedding, as it can possibly choke a bunny if eaten.

Toys - Baby toys, such as HARD plastic keyrings serve as very interesting bunny toys. Check at pet stores too. They sell toys especially for bunnies. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that bird toys with bells can prove to be good bunny toys also.

Food - Feed your rabbit a pellet based diet. The pellets shouldn't have colored pieces mixed in, as I guess something in the dye can harm the rabbit. Some good brands that I've heard of are: Oxbow, Purina Rabbit Chow, 8 in 1, and Kaytee. Your rabbit will also need hay, since bunnies can't vomit like cats, and they are prone to hairballs. Since they can't throw up, the hairball could get stuck in the bunnies throat, and it could cause the rabbit to maybe sufficate or something. 8^( Hay will prevent that from happening. Alfalfa hay is ok for younger bunnies, but it has too much protein (right...any bunny pros? I'm still learning 8^)) for adult buns. Many people prefer to feed Timothy hay to their bunnies.

How to tell if the hay is good or bad - Sweet smell, (often) green stems, will indicate good hay. Oxbow is a very good brand to buy, or so I've heard. 8^)

Hope the things I typed up will help ya! 8^)
