Subject: Picture of NIC cage
In reply to: cinnabun 's message, "cages?" on 11:28:36 04/25/02 Thu

Hopefully this picture will work! This is what my NIC cage looks like right now. Why not get another package of NIC (or two) and build an "apartment-like" cage with two "rooms" that you can keep each bun in? This is what I did when I had to keep my two buns separate (spaying and neutering) but when I could put them back together I just changed the design and now they have a 4 level cage...The only tricky thing is the cage floor for the top level- obviously the grids would be a pain in the but for both you and your bunny if it were the floor but they also have Mesh Cubes (I got mine at Sam's Club- they are called Great Cubes there) and that's what I used for the flooring. You can see on the second floor level that I have one of the grids out to give Owen and Sage access to the second level but if you had another bunny that you wanted to keep separate then you just put another grid in there to close it off. Just a suggestion- make sure the litter trained bunny is on the top level! And if you do this, while you are cleaning the bottom level WATCH OUT- one time Sage got mad because she was in her cage and Owen was outside of his cage while I was cleaning it and she peed down into his cage! Luckily, for her sake and mine, it didn't hit me but I think she was trying.
