What you should do is buy a sheet of plexiglass or something like it. Just dont get wood or anything that can get wet or moldy if lets say the pee went through to the flooring.

So anyway, get plexiglass to fit the cage, and then buy linolium floor (they have sticky backs dont they?) and stick the linolium to the plexiglass, this way its stuck to something thick rather than just the piece of linolieum which isn't all that thick.

I would also suggest a carpeted area just incase your rabbit doesn't like slippery linolium. I know mine doesn't. Get some sort of cheap carpeting that is either fitted to the cage, or one that has some sort of stiky backing to it as well that will stick to the plexiglass. I don't know if they make carpet like that but who knows. Try industrial carpeting.. it's the thinnest and the least likely your bun will have a chance of pulling and chewing the carpet.

I must say though, if your bun is a big chewer just please watch out. I built an NIC cage for my previous bunny who died. He used to chew on the wires of the cage and ingested little pieces of the covering. Which were said to be non toxic. I never found out the cause of his death, but he had to of eaten something that wouldn't digest.. be it some carpet, the cage wires.. or whatever.. and he got really sick and died. So please watch out and make sure he doesn't eat anything that could harm him.

Will you be posting a pic of your bun? :)
