I thought you weren't making a cube floor. I think it might be too hard to clean if you put the cubes over the lanolium. I have my lanolium inside the cage and haven't had a problem with bun chewing the corners. I got a little hand broom and dust pan and sweep up the cage every few days. I have never had any wet spots to clean up bun is very good at using the litter box. Maybe try putting one large piece of lanolium under the whole setup to catch any accidents and also put a piece in the cage to make clean up easier. Get it?? If not let me know and I'll try to explain better.
