Subject: sleeping habits?

i have a 1 year old mini lop. he's the sweetest thing in the world aside from chewing on my couch occasionally LOL... but i can't say that i've ever seen him sleep, unless bunnies don't sleep with their eyes closed. can anyone tell me about bunnies and their sleeping habits? i've seen him lay down but his eyes are open. just wondering...
