Verena looks puzzled at first; these little creatures barely look like cats. They look more like very large mice. Still, though, she is content with her father's answer and falls quiet again, snuggled against his chest fur. Mavikan stretches out beside them, extending her muzzle toward the kittens. They're so small.

{That's what I thought,} she sighs, {I hope the poor little thing will be all right.} She feels almost angry at the parents for leaving a sick baby alone in the forest, but she understands that sometimes these things can't be helped. At least they came along to help the poor kittens.
