I was the same way with Imrhien's age. In IMM I thought she was really young as in very early teen although this was probably more at the beginning of the book than anything!
I didn't notice until you mentioned it Anthony, but I agree that Lady Nimriel is reminiscent of Lady Galdriel from LotR.(BTW I'm a Tolkien fanatic)
And Nidri - me ? clever? Ooohhh I'm blushing!!! I still think there was more to Nimriel's gift than to explain her mistaken identity, though I could be wrong. The fact that her "cheating the moon" was explained away in book one seemed enough of a conclusion (especially seeing most of us missed it!), the fact that the topic was brought up again so late in book two is the reason I think there could be more to it (mind you, I have absolutely no idea what!!!!)
