I'm always keen to support australian writers so picked up The Ill-Made Mute. I loved the books, though at times in the first one I had to ask myself if I was enjoying it. When I stared reading about andulum and flying ships I started thinking 'Uh Oh'. But the storyline soon had me completely sucked in and I was dying for the 2nd book. Now I'm hanging out for book #3 and I tell ya the wait is as hard as waiting for LOTR - The Two Towers to hit the cinema screens ;)
I thought the storyline weaving through the Bitterbynde #1 & #2 was amazing, so well crafted and I was completely blown away by the end of book 2. I passed the books on to my mother who *never* reads fantasy and she had them both finished within weeks.
