I am having problem capturing the ILS during APR mode when the HDG mode is selected. For example, I am approaching KMEM rwy 36C from the SW direction at a HDG of 025, ATL 3000 ft, 15 nm out. APR is selected and within range. The HDG buttom flashes and a white box apears around the LOC but it does captures. Then I do it again but this time I disengage the HDG before the LOC or the GS become active and it works.
Is this one of those items that does not work with FS2002? or Am I doing something wrong?
