~The hallway backstage is shown over the Titantron, as none other than Randi McMahon comes into view, heading down the hallway.~
~The crowd pops seeing her again for the first time in several weeks, though Randi isn't looking so great, with bags under her eyes, and her hair just tied back in a messy ponytail. She stops in front of a door and the camera pulls back to show the name in big, bold letters: "VINCE MCMAHON". The crowd boos slightly, as Randi knocks on the door.~
*Vince is at his desk, fighting with getting a pencil in his left hand, grinding his teeth as he tries to sign* COME IN dammit *tosses the pen across the room*
~Randi opens the door, walking into Vince's office, and shuts the door behind her before taking a seat in front of Vince's desk, staring him straight in the eyes.~
*Vince looks up and sees her there, not saying a word but sits back, putting his hand and his sling on the desk*
Randi: I heard a rumor.
Vince: Then stop reading the internet. You come to me with facts.
~Randi sets her jaw, tilting her head.~ I AM coming to you about the facts, because YOU'RE the only one who can clear up this rumor. I want to know if you sent Kane after David.
Vince: You think I paid off Kane, or made him promises of some sorts to injure David.
Randi: That's what I said, isn't it?
Vince: Yes. Because I'm going to tell you one thing. I didn't HAVE to. If you'd been paying attention to anything these past few weeks, besides your "boyfriend's" unsigned, unwanted rampages, you'd have noticed that Kane has been a loose cannon. Ever since Wrestlemania he's been a work of destruction, a wrecking ball of sorts. I cannot stop Kane. I WILL not attempt to.
~Randi's eyes widen in anger and she leans forward, gripping the armrests of her chair.~ Then what happened happened in VAIN. What happened happened because I was trying to do what YOU refuse to do, and that's protect your own workers. I needed the father of my baby to be ALIVE, and you couldn't guarantee that, so I had to see to it myself. And it was in VAIN because you won't do anything about the man who's endangering your entire roster!!
Vince: You may not believe this, but I truly am sorry for what happened. You're my flesh and blood, and I won't ever support you being hurt. David, however, put yourself at risk just as much as Christian did. The day you understand that, is the day you understand me. I didn't stop Kane. I didn't TRY and stop Kane. Because David didn't try and stop YOU. You can be as angry with me as you want, you can be as supportive of David as you want. But YOU, are a McMahon. YOU are part of my legacy just as much as Shane and Stephanie are. And anyone who puts you, or ANY of them in danger gets what in the hell they deserve. You don't come to me with anger about David's injury, because NOTHING can ever match mine about seeing you stretchered out because he didnt PREVENT it.
Randi: HE didn't?? HE didn't?? Because HE was about to be killed, it's HIS fault?? You are WRONG Vince, YOU didn't prevent it. Christian could have KILLED David, and I had to go out there because YOU wouldn't have done anything about it. There are too many workers on your roster who are out of control, and you do NOTHING about it, you let them do whatever the hell they want, putting your own roster at risk. And if you truly WERE sorry for what happened, you would CHANGE that.
Vince: I can't change the past. If I could, I'd have made sure myself you never came down to stop Christian. Because I'd have rather had a Flair's head broken, than a McMahon's lineage ANY day. That wont ever change Randi. And the sooner YOU realize it, the better off you'll be. Is there anything else?
~Randi stands up in anger, slamming her hands on his desk.~ God, you just don't GET IT!!! What I am TELLING you is it didn't HAVE to be between the baby or David!! It could have been NEITHER!! You have to CHANGE the way things are run around here Vince but you're just too goddamn senile to realize it!!!
Vince: You forget one thing....*Vince stands up, fully red faced* I RUN THIS BRAND. I RUN THIS COMPANY....I CHANGE WHAT I WANT, how I want, WHEN I want to!!! And I'll see ANYONE who goes against me put FAR away. You hear me Randi? I'll see David DEAD before I change something before I SAY so!
~Randi shakes her head, disgust on her face.~ You're not fit to run this company. You're not fit to hold the livelihoods of so many human beings in your own hands. And if you're not gonna change the way things are, then I will. ~With that, Randi turns and storms out of the room.~
*Vince stares at her, slack jawed and about to burst a vein in his face.* You....you....DARE!!! I'M VINCE MCMAHON, DAMMIT....I RUN THIS BUSINESS! AND I WON'T BE DEFIED BY YOU, DAVID, OR ANYBODY else!!! ANYBODY you hear me?!!! ANYBOD... *slams his bad arm on the desk* OWWWW!!! *falls back in his chair, holding it in pain, as the only response Vince gets is the slamming of his office door*
