The fans immediately begin to boo loudly as “La Résistance” plays over the speakers, signaling the arrival of the number one contenders, Les Séparatistes! Sylvan Grenier and René Duprée walk out on either side of France’s Marie-Claude, each man waving one of the respective Québec and France flags. As they make their way down the stage and to the ring, highlights of Marie-Claude aiding her team to three consecutive pinfall victories over the champions are shown.









“World’s Greatest” then plays over the speakers as the three-time Undisputed Tag Team Champions appear, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin! They walk partway down the ramp to a loud ovation from the crowd, hyped up for their first PPV title defense since Survivor Series. However, rather than come straight down to the ring, they pause and stare back at the entranceway as…















… NAT TAYLOR steps out, dressed from head to toe in Team Angle gear, reuniting with the champions! As the trio make their way down to ringside, Grenier, Dupree, and especially Marie-Claude are LIVID, not knowing what to make of this as their three-on-two advantage has now been erased!


Haas and Benjamin immediately slide into the ring, leaving their tag straps on the outside as they charge the challengers! Marie-Claude remains frozen in the ring, and then she turns on a dime, going to grab a hold of Charlie’s arm, but Nat slides into the ring, and Marie-Claude immediately bails to the outside! Nat slides out after her, chasing her off as the official calls for the bell, and this match is officially underway!

Back in the ring, Benjamin works Grenier back with right hands on one side of the ring as Haas does the same to Dupree. The champs then fire the challengers across the ring towards one another, but Dupree leapfrogs over his partner and charges Benjamin! However, Shelton leapfrogs Rene and lands on his feet, and then laces him across the chin with a shuffle kick, sending him to the outside! Over on the other side of the ring, Charlie catches Grenier with a T-Bone suplex, tossing him CLEAR over the top ropes and to the floor, and the champions have cleaned house!

Les Separatistes convene on the outside, licking their wounds and taking in some last minute advice from Marie-Claude who speaks quickly in French. Haas climbs out onto the apron, faking a double cross body on the challengers. This causes Grenier and Dupree to turn to the other side in order to bail out of the way, but they end up turning into Benjamin who flies off of the top rope with a suicide dive, taking them right back down to the floor to a HUGE pop from the crowd!

Benjamin is the first man to his feet, grabbing Rene and rolls him into the ring before turning to Marie-Claude and perking a brow, mouthing “how you doin’?” with a cocky grin! Back in the ring, Haas is all over Dupree, shoving him off into the ropes and goes for a back body drop, but Rene stops himself and meets Charlie with a big boot to the chest, straightening him out! Rene then comes off the ropes, attempting a monster lariat, but Charlie goes low with an over the head belly-to-belly suplex!

Dupree goes up and over, rebounding up to his feet and stumbles back into a corner chest first, breathing heavily. Haas then tags in Benjamin who springs into the ring from over the top rope, charging towards Rene and dives in with a body splash, crunching him in the corner! Shelton aids Rene out of the corner by shoving him down to the mat before springing up to the top rope, but before he can fly off, Marie-Claude reaches up, grabbing his foot and crotching him!

The crowd then cheers wildly as Nat rushes over, pulling Marie-Claude away from Benjamin kicking and screaming, tossing her to her butt by her hair! The ref immediately heads to the outside, getting between the two and separating them. Meanwhile, Grenier comes over with a flag and cracks it in two over Benjamin’s back to a round of boos from the crowd!

Rene then comes over, climbing up the ropes and takes Benjamin from the top with a superplex! However, Rene lands hard on his hip and quickly tags out, and Grenier dives in for the cover, getting a close two count! Sylvan now pulls Shelton up and meets him with an open handed slap across the chest, and then takes him over with a snap mare, finishing it off with a STIFF boot to the spine! Grenier goes down for another cover, but Shelton rolls his shoulder out once more!

Sylvan makes the tag in to Rene and they go to work, firing Shelton across and taking him over with a HUUUUUGE back body drop, sending him 10 feet into the air, and he comes crashing down on his tailbone hard! Grenier heads out to his corner as Dupree pulls Shelton up, taking him over with a standing vertical suplex, holding him there for a moment or two before driving him down into the mat! Rene then pops up to his feet and shuffles from side to side with the Frenchman dance, grinning widely and yelling out “We are de champions, eh!”

Grenier takes the tag back in and goes back to work on Shelton, but Benjamin comes up off the mat with a shoulder block, moving Sylvan back a few feet. Shelton them attempts to make the tag, but Sylvan locks him into a front face lock, trying to hold him off, but Shelton’s leg strength is just too strong as he moves him back foot by foot! However, just before he is able to make the tag, Rene rushes into the ring, distracting the referee just long enough so that he misses the hot tag that brings Charlie into the ring!

Haas rushes in, taking Grenier down with a right hand before being forced back out to his corner to a round of boos from the crowd! Grenier and Dupree use this distraction to fire Shelton off, going for a double spine buster, but Benjamin counters it into a double DDT!! The crowd pops loudly as Dupree goes rolling to the outside, leaving only the two legal men inside, down and out!

Benjamin begins to stir first, making it closer and closer to his corner to tag in the eager Charlie Haas; however, once again, just before he can make the tag, this time it’s Marie-Claude who climbs onto the apron, distracting the referee just long enough to miss it once again! The ref cuts Charlie off, forcing him back into the corner once more! Nat has now had enough and she rushes over, grabbing Marie-Claude by the foot and pulls her off the apron, making her hit it face first! Marie Claude goes crumbling down to the mat, laid out!

Back in the ring, Grenier and Haas hoist Shelton up for the “La Fin” finisher, but before they can spin and drive him into the mat, he spins himself to the opposite side, sending Dupree flying OVER the top rope and to the floor with a head scissors, and Sylvan chest first into the ropes!

Benjamin now makes the HOT tag into Haas, and Charlie hurries right over, burying forearms into Grenier’s back before lifting his legs up and ducking his head, allowing Benjamin to leapfrog him and crunch Sylvan into the ropes! Charlie then pulls Grenier away from the ropes with a waist lock, and then takes him up and over with a German after Shelton connects with a shuffle kick to his jaw! Benjamin then springs himself over the top ropes and onto Rene on the floor as Haas bridges up in the ring for the one, two, three!!


“World’s Greatest” plays over the speakers as Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin have successfully defended their championships! They collect their straps and meet up with Nat, celebrating their victory!
