"Cowboy" by Kid Rock comes on the speakers first. The fans all get to their feet and turn their attention to the main soundstage as smoke comes from the floor there. Its followed by the entrance of the Chosen One, Jeff Jarrett!

"Sexy Boy" comes on the speakers, as the fans go ballistic! Shawn Michaels comes bouncing from behind the curtain and goes to the ramp. Michaels steps out onto it and circles around, basking in every sound the crowd gives him. HBK kisses to the sky and then drops to his knees, giving praise to the heavens, before bouncing back up and walking to the ring.
Michaels looks in at Jarrett, and stops to unstrap his entrance gear. He holds up a finger to ask for a moment, then breaks into a full sprint, sliding in under the bottom rope and starting the fight off immediately!

Jeff goes right in for an overhead right, but Shawn stops him with a fist between the eyes! JJ is staggered back, as HBK flies right into him with a tornado of punches. Jarrett gets sent into the ropes, and Shawn chops him HARD between the 1st and second one. Jeff gets caught between and see saws back and forth. Shawn punches him repeatedly, swinging him between fists and the outside of the ring. HBK bounces around on his toes, before running the other side and catching Jarrett with a flying clothesline, sending both men flying over and out of the ring!

Jeff tries to get away from this onslaught, as Shawn follows him on the outside. He yanks Jeff around by the shorts and chops him HARD on the chest. Jarrett tries to clear his head, and then receipts him with another. Michaels then Irish whips him into the railing, but Jeff reverses it and sends Shawn back first against the fans! Jeff then tries to charge him, but HBK moves off and ducks down, backdropping Jarrett into the air, and hearing him crash down into the front row! HBK walks it off and then goes back to yank Jarrett head first over the railing and back to the floor! Shawn plants a hard kick in his shoulderblades, and then rolls him back inside.

JJ moves away from the onslaught, going to put his hands up to ask for a breather. Shawn answers him with a kick to the chest, and a snap suplex for his troubles. Jeff arches up until HBK leaps across him, going for a pin. Jarrett kicks out at 2 here, but Shawn backs out. As soon as he's to his feet, Michaels meets him head on with a flying forearm. Shawn goes for another pin, yanking back on his leg here, but Jeff fires his arm out a second time. HBK yanks him by the leg and pulls him to the center of the ring. He then turns and drops an elbow across Jeff's thigh, backing up and slamming a knee into it. Michaels then walks over to the corner, and starts to climb up, pausing at the top turnbuckle. Jarrett sees him ready to pounce, and shoves Earl Hebner into the ropes.

HBK loses his balance for a second, and falls crotch first on the turnbuckle! Jeff then moves to the corner and climbs up. He reaches down and lays HBK's arm across his shoulder, and grabs his tights for a superplex. Jarrett then goes to pull him back, but Shawn stops it by grabbing the top rope. Jeff tries again, as Shawn punches him in the stomach once, twice, and then gives a third that dislodges JJ's footing.

Michaels then gives him a shove across the collarbone, shoving him off of the top rope and crashing him chest first into the canvas! Shawn then pulls himself to the top, and leaps off with a elbow that crashes him in the sternum! Shawn crawls over onto him and pulls back on his leg. Hebner falls to the mat and counts 1....2...ONLY a two count as Jeff shrugs a shoulder out!

HBK then backs up and starts to move the crowd up, playing them like a maestro. Jarrett gets slowly to his feet and is met with a Michaels punch, then another. Jeff staggers back, and Shawn lifts him up and down across his knee with an inverted Atomic Drop! Shawn backs up and goes for another, but Jeff grapevines his leg on the way up, and holds his ground. Jarrett then snatches his head into a hammerlock and uses that to PLOW HBK into the canvas with a shortarm clothesline!

Shawn lays across the mat from this one, as Jeff rolls to the side to catch his breath. He checks his own lip and then goes right back to work on the head of the Heartbreak Kid. Jeff kneels across him and starts driving knees into the back of his neck, finally giving a sharp kick across the shoulderblades! Jarrett then twirls into a straddling position and bangs Michaels skull into the canvas!


Jeff backs up and climbs the ropes, standing on the 2nd turnbuckle, and waits Shawn to his feet. He then leaps off with a double axe handle, but HBK puts his hands up to block it, then moves into another Inverted Atomic Drop! Shawn then pulls himself to the corner, as the fans all get to their feet, clapping their hero up. Shawn waves them all up, as they stampede and clap for him. He shakes the ropes for a bit and finally raises his foot in the air, driving a single stomp on the mat!

Jeff gets to his feet as Shawn strikes up the band for another stomp, and a third. JJ slowly turns around as Shawn fires forward with a superkick aimed at his head! Jarrett ducks this and dives around him going for a rollup, yanking on the tights. Shawn kicks out of it, but Jeff keeps hold of his pants, bringing him up and locking him in from the side. Jarrett puts an arm across his shoulders and gets set to fall forward with the Stroke!

Shawn stops it and drives an elbow into his forehead to pause his momentum, Earl Hebner moves around to check it, and HBK quickly lifts his leg to CRUNCH a mule kick into Jarrett's crotch!

The Chosen One's eyes bulge from this as Shawn then shoves him off and laces him across the mouth with a Sweet Chin Music out of NOWHERE! Michaels falls across him and yanks back on his leg, getting a 1...2...and a THREE count!

Hebner signals that Michaels has taken this match, AND his revenge on the Chosen One! Jeff still clutches up on the canvas, laying in a fetal position from the two vicious kicks!
