"Machinehead" by Bush starts up on the speakers, signaling the arrival of Team Canada's Captain Petey Williams. Williams rushes out from the back and yells back at the crowd, before striding purposefully to the ring. He leaps up onto the apron and yanks off his Team Canada jacket. Williams then steps under the bottom rope and circles around, waiting for his match.

His teammate Bobby Rude walks from behind the curtain, leaving his entrance music behind as well as any of his other Team Canada gear. Rude stalks out in a basic pair of black shorts with a red mapleleaf on the front, fuming on his way to the squared circle. Petey gets down into a ready stance, while Rude moves closer to the ring. As soon as he's at the apron, Petey backs up and charges. Rude has just enough time to step through the ropes when Williams explodes into his stomach with a shoulder tackle! Bobby rolls him over and sends a series of fists to Williams, but Petey blocks a few and rolls back through, chucking Rude with a series of left and right shots!

Bobby finally puts both hands on Petey's chest and shoves him off. The larger man gets to one knee, before Williams crashes right into the side of his head with a Shining Wizard kneelift! Rude faceplants on the mat before Williams yanks his right arm up. Petey then wraps it around his own leg and jumps straight up in the air, driving Bobby's chin into the canvas with a kneedrive! Rude grabs his chin and rolls to the outside of the ring, as Petey backs away and catches the fans approval! Rude stumbles on the outside and spits a line of blood on the floor, before Petey baseball slides out behind him. He goes to catch Bobby from behind, but Rude sidesteps him and shoves him shoulder first into the ringpost! Williams drops to the mat holding his arm before Rude goes right on the attack.

Bobby yanks him up by the seat of his pants and moves him into a belly to back suplex. He looks behind, measures it for a bit, and backpedals, driving Petey's shoulder into the ringpost AGAIN! Rude then just steps aside and lets Petey fall on the floor, holding his arm in agony. Rude rolls back into the ring to break the count, and goes out again to punish Williams some more. He pulls Williams up and shoves him back inside the ring instead. Bobby follws him back into the ring and yanks him up by the shoulder, chickenwinging it behind his back and lifting him airborne by the wounded arm! Petey yells out loud and flails his free arm out. Rude ducks a bit and wrenches Williams over his own shoulder, keeping him there in a torture rack!

Rude holds him aloft for a while, waiting to see if Williams will submit. Petey starts to kick his legs, finally getting himself closer to the ropes and brushing his foot on the top one. Petey finally gets his left foot around it and hooks the top. Rude goes to pull him off, but referee Teddy Long points out that he should break it. Rude keeps him there until Long starts his count. At 4, Bobby just lets go of the hold and doesnt even glance. Petey gets dropped from over his shoulder and crashes right back down on the mat, trying to shake some feeling back into his arm. Rude shoves Williams into the corner, and backs up, getting a revved up start. Rude charges the corner, trying to crush Petey's arm on the turnbuckle, but Williams leaps up to the top, Rude crashes into Petey's outstretched foot and holds onto his mouth. Williams holds himself on the top rope and leaps off into a sunset flip on Bobby's back. Rude feels his arms locked in, and tries to steady himself to keep from being powered over!

The two former teammates stay deadlocked as Petey tries to force Rude over into a Canadian Destroyer, and Rude strains to stay upright. Bobby finally starts to walk to the ropes with Williams on his back. Petey waits until the ref signals for him to have almost touched the ropes, and then hits Rude with a HARD shot between his legs! Bobby's eyes cross as Petey shoves him over with his legs, CRUNCHING Rude's head into the mat with the Canadian Destroyer!

Petey lets go of the piledriver and falls forward, between Rude's legs. Long drops down and gives a 1...2...and a THREE count, awarding the match, and advancement in the tournament to Petey Williams!
