“Take A Look Around” starts the show, sending David Flair to the ring first to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He makes his way down and slides into the ring, pacing around and stops to look out to the fans, not quite knowing what to make about the reaction he’s receiving.

Jeff Jarrett then comes out to “Cowboy” and a pop from the crowd, stopping at the top of the stage and throws the double peace sign above his head before making his way down to the ring.


The second that Jeff sticks his head between the ropes, David rushes him and rams a knee to it, sending him crashing to the floor! Jarrett tries to get up slowly, shaking his head out from the first attack. He waves off Flair and goes to the apron, but David charges back towards him with a baseball slide that Jeff ducks and yanks him out by the ankle, slamming the back of his knee against the ring apron. He extends his leg out again and rushes forward with an elbow to the kneecap. When Flair clenches up, JJ pulls him closer by the hair and drills him between the eyes with a fist.

David stumbles around the outside, shaking his head out and tries to avoid Jarrett; however, as soon as Jeff approaches, David turns on a dime and jams a thumb into his eye, following it up by a LOUD chop across the chest. Jeff stumbles back from the chop, and fires forward with one across David's chest. He feints a second, then grabs him by the arm and Irish whips Flair into the ring post head first! David rebounds off the ring post to a round of cheers for the crowd, as they are firmly behind Jarrett in this one!

Jeff wanders over to where Flair is and picks him up to his knees. He stands behind him for a moment and starts punching away at his forehead, driving his knuckle above the eye. David finally frees himself from Jarrett and begins to crawl away on his hands and knees, the camera doing a close-up on him to reveal blood flowing from a cut above his eye. Jarrett walks forward, stalking behind him and puts his foot on the back of Flair's head, grinding his face into the floor. Jeff puts a knee in his back and starts delivering a second round of shots across his head.

David rolls away and climbs back onto the apron, sliding into the ring and crawls away from Jarrett, turning back to face him and puts his hands up, begging off. Jeff stops as he moves forward, unsure of David's beg off. He looks to the side and then goes for a kick to the chest to answer him. David is sent into a full backwards roll, crashing into the corner and looks up to Jarrett once more, begging off for a second time! Jarrett pauses again, putting his hands on his hips and blinks. He waves David up and then rushes the corner with a knee pointed at his head! David, however, slides off the apron and to the floor, pulling Jeff's leg out from under him and grabs the other one, pulling Jeff lower region first into the ring post!

Jarrett howls out loud as he crashes into the ring post, trying to pull himself away from it slowly. David now slides back into the ring, diving onto Jarrett and cradles his head, ramming his fist into it repeatedly! He backs off at the ref's four count and comes off the ropes, diving right back down onto him for another round of shots. David breaks it once more and shoves the ref into the corner, telling him to stay out of it. He then goes back over to Jarrett, pulling him up and into a vertical suplex, floating over with a hook of the leg for a two count.

Jeff sits up after the kick out, and then jams an elbow into David's leg on the way up. While seated, he reaches around and grabs hold of the leg, twisting it across his own! David reaches around, grabbing Jeff by the face and pulling back on him, as JJ keeps torquing on the leg. Both men let go after a few moments and struggle to their feet. David goes in with a knee-lift, but Jeff meets it with a boot to the kneecap, and then shoves him chest first into the corner. Flair bounces it hard, and falls back into a back suplex from JJ! Jarrett lays across him for a count, and only gets 2 from this one! Jeff sits up and stares down at David, dropping across him and holding the arm down this time. Flair STILL kicks out at 2!
















The fans then begin to make some noise as Shawn Michaels walks out onto the top of the stage, steel chair in hand! He makes his way down the ramp and stops at the bottom, catching Jarrett's attention as he points over at him before unfolding the chair, taking a seat at the bottom of the stage and waving to Jeff, encouraging him to get back to work.


Jeff stares at Michaels for a moment, and as soon as he turns around, David rolls him up with a small package for a two count! Jeff, after kicking out, is met by a boot to the stomach from Flair, who bends him forward and grabs his waist, pulling him backwards, pausing for a moment and then dropping straight down with a pile driver on the Chosen One! Jarrett's body stiffens out from the impact and falls to the side, and David leans over him, hooking the leg for the looong one, two, and TWOOOOOO count!

David now pulls at his hair, wiping the blood out of his eye which had dried up and pulls himself to his feet, pulling Jeff with him by the hair. He shoves Jeff into a corner and stiffs a chop across his chest, thinking for a moment, and then hits with another before firing Jeff across, chasing right in after him but is met with a boot to the mouth! Jeff pulls himself up to the top rope, standing on the 2nd and leaps off with an axe handle on Flair's shoulders, dropping him to the canvas again Jarrett sees him on the mat and then points up to Michaels on the ramp, and holds David's legs up, turning into a spinning toe hold! Jeff grapevines one leg over the other one and falls right back, locking it into a figure four!


Piper: "And that figure four hurts far more than anyone knows JR...which is why its been the weapon of choice of all 3 men involved here! Not to mention the Nature Boy himself who's inspired all 3 in various ways!"


Jeff props up on his hands, barking insults to David as he forces down on the figure four! Flair clenches at his own hair, racking his brain for counters or ANY way out of the hold! A zoom in from the side cameraman catches Flair's entire body being stress red from the pain of the hold, except for his own fingers, which are turning white from him now pushing down onto the mat, lifting both of them up slightly! Jeff sees what's going on and presses down further on the leg, trying to either bend it backwards or break it in the hold. David starts to bite down on his own bottom lip and twist some, rocking them both on their sides! Flair howls out as he finally gets Jeff on his side and with one last burst, flips them over, reversing the pressure from the figure four onto JJ instead!

Jeff howls out in pain and tries to push David BACK over. He fails in this one and falls onto his chest, holding the back of his head to keep from tapping out! David nods his head up and down, trying to wrench Jarrett's leg out of socket as well! Jeff pushes up himself and takes a deep breath, rolling again and giving a SECOND reversal to the figure four, sending David back onto his back! This time, however, Flair is right at the ropes and quickly clenches out on them to get the break!

Jeff struggles to his feet, pulling himself to the opposite side. He climbs the ropes to stand and stops, noticing Shawn on the outside giving a tennis clap. Jarrett's face goes irate, cursing Shawn out as much as possible, as David recovers on the other side. Jeff limps toward David and pulls him out, hair first. JJ moves to a vertical suplex, but David blocks it with his bad leg, grimacing from it. JJ then swoops around back and steps between, going for the Stroke! Flair, quicker than you'd believe, rises up on his back leg, kneeing JJ in the crotch away from the ref's eyes! Jarrett's eyes cross from the hit as he wobbles forward. Flair immediately cradles an arm around his head and spins around, driving Jarrett into the canvas with the Flashback out of nowhere!! David drops right down across JJ and pulls back on the leg, getting a 1....2...THREE count on the Chosen one!


Shawn stands up giving another round of claps and then gives a thumbs up to the match, tipping his hat and walking backstage.

"Take A Look Around" blasts over the speakers as David rolls over onto his knees, looking down at Jarrett and then to the ref, making sure it was a three count before bolting up to his feet and onto the ropes, "Wooooooing" loudly in celebration on his way to the outside!


Ross: Just that quickly, David Flair dropped a former world champion! And just that quickly he can do the same thing on Sunday in the Sudden Death Hell in a Cell! There is NO elimination, there is NO overtime in this event. One man has to outsmart, outlast, and out THINK 5 others!


Piper: That right there, Ross? Is motivation for David Flair, he sees just how quickly he can bring home Chris Jericho's championship as well. A split second to hit the move, and 3 more to count it!
