"Evolve" comes on the speakers as Randy Orton arrives from the back of the arena, Charlie O’Neale by his side. He has his arms at his side and then extends them out at the apex of the song. Orton closes his eyes and soaks in the crowd's boos as Charlie whispers some last minute advice into his ear before she disappears to the back, and he then makes his way down to the ring, stepping onto the apron and wiping his feet off, then going inside. Randy moves to the corner and extends his arms out again, hearing another chorus of boos from the fans.

WHAT THE ROCK!

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiis Cooooooooking!









The crowd then EXPLODES as The Rock appears, making his way down the ramp and to the ring, climbing a corner from the outside, raising a fist above his head to the cheers from the fans before stepping into the ring, staring across at Orton as he shuffles from side to side.


Orton stares across the ring at him, wiping the back of his hand on his nose and inhaling, stepping forward to get the ref's instructions. Brian Hebner stands between the two, calling for the bell, officially starting off this match. Orton looks The Rock over and mouths to him, asking if he still wants to do this. Rock holds his arm out, telling Randy to "Just... Bring It!" to a pop from the crowd! And Orton does so, but Rock blocks the right hand and fires one back of his own, working Orton back into the ropes. However, Randy comes forward with a knee to the mid section and then fires Rock across, but Rock comes flying off the ropes with a forearm shot, taking Randy down to the mat! As soon as Orton rebounds back up to his feet, Rock works him back into the ropes with right hands, pauses, holds his arms out in mockery of Orton, and then he comes forward with a HUGE right hand, but Randy ducks and backdrops Rock up and over, and to the outside!

Orton backs away and then rushes the ropes, grabbing the top one and flying at the Rock with a cross body block, nailing him to the floor! Randy gets up a bit, holding his midsection and goes for a series of kicks on his head, pauses for a bit and plants one last one right on his neck! Rock rebounds to his feet and goes stumbling away from Orton, rolling back into the ring. Randy goes right on the attack with him, extending his arm out and falling forward, dropping his knee across the back of Rock's neck! Orton pulls him up again and short arms him into a European Uppercut that jolts his head back! Rock goes flying back into a corner, shaking his head out. Orton follows him in, pausing and sends a second uppercut across his chin, pulling him out and hooking him up and over with a vertical suplex. Randy then rolls through and pulls back on his leg for a pin attempt, but Rock rolls his shoulder out at the two-count!

Orton sees him kick out and slaps him HARD across the mouth before getting up. Randy backs away and goes down to one knee, waving him up and zeroing in on him. As soon as Rock makes his way up to his feet, Randy moves in for the RKO! However, Rock shoves out of it, sending Orton into the ropes, and as Randy comes back off of them, The Great One takes him over with a Samoan drop, hooking the leg for the cover, getting a close two count!

Orton pops up and is met by a kick from the Rock, who goes for a DDT. Orton puts his hands down on the canvas before hitting it and bounces out to his ass. When Rock gets up, Randy follows right in with a knee to the Rock's chin. Rock goes back bumping into the ropes, staggered there. Randy goes to Irish whip him off into the ropes but comes back without letting go of it, kicking Rock in the small of his back and bending him across with a 3.0! Orton pauses for a second and drops straight down, yanking him down with the move!

Rock's body quivers on the mat, rolling away from Randy, arching his back. Orton drops across him and yanks back on the leg, watching as Hebner drops into position to check his shoulders. Randy moves his legs up and perches them on the 2nd rope for leverage, but Hebner catches him and refuses the count, kicking Randy's legs off the ropes! Orton drops to his knees, yelling at Hebner and then drops his leg across Rock's neck in a choke, using his time to argue with the ref while choking him.

Hebner yells at Orton to lay off of it. Randy shrugs and takes his knee off of Rock, standing up and telling him to count Rock down and out of this one. Rock pulls himself up, leaning against the ropes, calling Orton on. As soon as Randy approaches, Rock meets him with a right hand, followed up by a second, and then a third! He now goes to fire him across, but he holds on and pulls Randy into a boot to the gut and JAMS him into the mat with a DDT!

Randy bounces head first off of the canvas and flattens out from the DDT, his eyes crossed as he tries to flop up. Rock then nips up to his feet to a pop from the crowd and makes his way over to Randy's head, kicking his arms in to the side. He then signals from side to side and comes off each set of ropes, stops, holds up an "O-Ring", and then DROPS the People's Elbow! Orton gets plowed by the Elbow, clutching his chest and trying to move away!

Rock now pops back up to his feet and stands on his toes, waiting for Orton to stand, getting ready to finish this one off! Randy rolls over to his knees, giving a quick glance at where each person is in the ring. Orton holds his chest and wheezes a bit, reaching out and pulling himself to his feet slowly. Rock then quickly moves in, hooking Orton for the Rock Bottom!
Randy jams his elbow into the side of the Rock's head once, then twice and shoves him off. He rushes the ropes and comes back at him with his arms extended for the RKO!

Rock ducks his charge and goes for an Irish whip that sends him back off. Orton comes back and gets taken up and down with Rock's patented Spine Buster! The Great One moves around, knowing that THIS elbow is going to put away Orton for good. He goes to grab his elbow pad and stops, having nose, so he yanks Randy's off instead and hurls it to the crowd. Rock goes off of the ropes, bouncing once, then twice and coming back towards him. Orton reaches out and yanks Hebner into the path, stopping Rock in his tracks. Randy pops up and waits for the tie-up to clear out and cradles Rock's head out of nowhere, extending out into an RKO that drives the Great one chin first into the canvas! Rock's head bounces off the mat and he flattens out on his back, and Orton is quick to jump onto him for the cover, getting the one, two, three!


Orton rolls off of him and falls on his back, breathing heavily as he's almost shocked that he beat the Rock cleanly. Hebner goes and raises his arm as Randy wipes his own face off, glancing over at the Rock.

The crowd is completely stunned as Rock remains laid out on his back, running his hands over his face, still trying to shake off the effects of the RKO! Orton pulls himself up and looks down at Rock before climbing a corner, extending his arms to his side in celebration as “Evolve” blasts over the speakers, and Smackdown! goes off the air with Orton’s celebration!
