:: i wander into the crowded club, feeling out of place around the large swarms of laughing and drinking people. pushing my auburn hair over my shoulder, i sigh as i seat myself on a relatively rigid bar stool, glancing around at the surrounding customers. feeling compelled to order a drink, i shirk off my temptation and instead ask for a bottle of water. i was still getting used to being on my own, without my parents to keep such a stern watch on me. perching my chin in my palm, i allow my other hand to instinctively run to the hem of my black mini skirt, pulling it down with a blush in my cheeks. i was definitely nervous to be around all of these strangers, as alone as i was in this giant club..
