Subject: How Many Heads Hath the Chicken-Snake?

With so many strange, noisome and incoherent sounds burbling from that den of deceit, affectionately known as the "SnakePit", one wonders if the creature that resides there, dripping venom (or frothing at the mouth--whichever the case may be), has but one, or a multitude of loathsome heads to hissss and crow its many lying calumnies?

Perhaps, more than one head would explain its complete lack of coherence, its monomania and its confusion of its own identity. Perhaps--for example--more than one head, takes it turn pretending to be that wretched creature, tamarisk, causing consternation to the malformed and malignant beast, when more than head--obviously perplexed--starts hisssing and crowing, at the same time, both claiming the that same identity, of tamarisk.

Perhaps this would also explain why--when one of these pusillanimous personalities is hisssing or crowing to defend another one of its pusillanimous personalities, that "Dolly"--for example--refers to itself as "Dolly" and not as "I"?

These are are all valid points to ponder--a plethora of heads--each hisssing and crowing, without any discernible synchronization, would quite definitely be one explanation for the riotous and mindless noises spilling forth from the lair of the Chicken-Snake.

However--another--and perhaps simpler explanation, for why this slithering beast makes so many idiot-child utterances, is simply because it is--in the vernacular--*barking dog nuts*.

The likelihood is that this Chicken-Snake enigma will *never* be solved, with any real conclusiveness. Perhaps it's best, to leave it alone, so it can hisss, crow, convulse, lie, twist on itself and make its profane, ridiculous and asinine rants in the solitude of its own shattered mind.

Or, perhaps (and I tend to ascribe to this viewpoint) it would be a whole lot more fun to poke it with a stick, now and again.
