Subject: Neighbours, what has happened?

My world seemed stable at one point: Susan and Karl had their problems but were still in love, Lou was at his best wheeling and dealing as usual, Harold was annoying but beautifully portrayed by Ian Smith and the girls were fit, what the hell happened?

The marriage that i had pinned my hopes upon, the one i was hoping to emulate was destroyed, as James Clayfield would say: it begins with 'T' ends in 'atters', 'Tatters'. Karl and Susan seem to be no more.

Rumour on the Neighbours grapevine is that the writers were sacked and new ones were bought in to ruffle a few feathers and increase ratings. Ruffle they did!

Although i still enjoy neighbours it's sad to see such idols as Harold and Lou falling to pieces. Harold is an exception: the new Harold is awesome: rude and abrupt and quite clearly loosing his marbles in spetacular fashion, but will the old Harold ever return?

Lou on the other hand is a sad story. At one point he seemed set. A beautiful young girl on his arm, business going well, then disaster. Forced out of Ramsey street by Rocco the local mobster, who has his own italian theme tune when he comes on screen, made to wonder the outback, alone. He awakes back in Erinsborough Hospital now wanting the fat Scouse, who is apparently Lynn's mum who is from London England but has worked in Paris most of her life but still manages to have has a stronger Scouse accent than Jamie Carragher.

Lou would never fall in love with that! (Cheryl was an exception to the rule, he would never do it twice)

The girls: Summer has potential but even saying that could get me in a bit of trouble. Sky...hmmm, possibly, Issy and Steph without a doubt, Susan of course but where are the superstars, the Kylie's, the Flick's, the Nicola Charles'. There maybe new writers but they have pap taste in women. Bring them back.

The balance of power needs to be restored, where is Bismarck? Castleragh? Metternich?

A smoke filled carriage.

I bit you adieu
