Gareth! Wait! sit back and think about what you are proposing to do. Retirement is the single most ridiculous thing you can do following the recent events!

As you said, this website represents the old era of Kings school, an era that will never be resembled due to the politics and institutional rules that are now perfectly mundane in the educational system.
During our era, without these restrictions we were able to bring about a lifestyle of fun and laughter while using legends such as Newman, Gregory and of course mr errgentlemen himself Reuben Joliff as catalysts in the volatile reaction that was the Kings school itself.
You have referred in the 'Kings storys' section of how memories of your time spent at the school still make you laugh out, this is also the case for myself. However following the good memory I remember that I was lucky enough to experience the 'old school' Kings era. It is unfortunate for todays students, knowing that attempting to recreate our time would result in serious concequences. Though such legends as Gregory are still at the school they have been drowned out by the 'new age' teachers, rules and regulations that have turned Kings into a fun-free zone.

It is for these reasons you must not retire. You have brought us a website that allows the ex kings pupils from that era to reminise in the memories of their time there, and make the current students incredibly jealous! Only you can provide this. Since it is clear what an novice Mapletoft really is when it comes to managing a website, leaving him in charge would drive this website into the ground along with the memories of so many ex students who will still look back in ten years time and say "I was there"

Your fans spoke through the petition you set up. You were voted back because they wanted to keep the memories alive and still have a small part of that 'Grantham Persona' in their lives despite where ever they are in the world. Now you have returned to this website you can reverse the damage caused by the poison and bring the high level status it once had back.

Retiring will leave the Poison in control, and the very principles in the backbone of this website will be destroyed. We got a taste of what the Poison was capable of before your return and that was enough to cause sudden nausia. Leaving him in control will turn this website into boring, unupdated, unvisted web space and the memories of Kings and Grantham will be lost for good.

I hope you will reconsider your decision.
