Subject: Oh dear Thompson

I'm pleased Sarge raised the important issue of Thompson

I very much enjoyed the day when, for some reason, we were having yr 7 science with Alan "Dr" Farmillo in The downstairs DT/Art room (the room number escapes me - 30ish?)and we were listening to soundwaves of higher and higher pitch. People had to raise their arms and then put them down once they couldn't hear the noise anymore. The last two people with their arms in the air were Thompson and Lester-George, both unsurprising for mental and physical reasons respectively - given Thompson's economy-of-truth problem and the size of Adam's ears. Dr Farmillo then informed us that the machine had been switched off for the previous two turns. everyone laughed at the pair. Lester-George attempted to salvage the situation and claimed it must have been the ringing form the previous turns resounding in his ears (admirable effort). Thompson, in typical bare-faced fashion, persisted to claim (and presumably still does to this day) that he COULD still hear the noise.

In my experience there is a line between sticking to your guns and being a liar.
