Subject: that foul, Belmont, Fellows and Sarge 200-0 and Barry Page.....

Fantastic memories!

I must admit our Cliffedale football team was amazing. I will always and forever remember 'that' foul that cost us during the three game play off to decide the qualifier into the finals.

But it was all worth it for beating Belmont in the final of the Grantham and District tournament. (face it Barry, we were better!)

We were a brilliant team: I think cliffedale have only actually qualified once for the county finals since we were there!

The team:

Matt Pacey (goal)

Tim Cartwright
Chris Mulloch
David Moore

David Tedbury
Craig Ramsay

James Sargeant
Gareth Finch

(think that was it, not sure though?)

Coach- Mr Barry Page (who is still at Cliffedale, although cant play football at all now due to injury)

Overall, I would have to say that the kings cricket team was slightly better, due to the characters involved. And where else would you get an opening batting partnership as dominant as the two James': Fellows and Sarge (arguably the most perfect match one could imagine. left and right handed, and both county players)

Thanks for the goals (and runs!), but mainly, Sarge, thanks for the memories.
