What Time Is It?

What time is it?
Time to lend a helping hand
To those in need throughout the land.

What time is it?
It is time to do our part
Obeying God from our heart.

What time is it?
It is time to love and forgive
To rejoice and to live.

What time is it?
It is a time of healing
And of truth revealing.

What time is it?
It is time to draw near
To God-
Without fear.

What time is it?
Time to learn that
The first shall be last
and how the mercies of God
Eternally last.

What time is it?
A question asked everyday--
God's children will
tell you that ...
It's time to be humble
and to earnestly pray.

one of my favorite passages of scripture:

Ephesians 5:14-17 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Another that fits nicely also is: Colossians 4:5-6 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

As always Julie a good poem with lot's to ponder.

God bless and thanks for being such a blessing here.

I had an " off week "in handling certain matters
that I thought I could handle. My emotions
ran amuck , but you know something ...the mercies of God blanketed me and obeying Him , trusting Him --
helps me to be humble again .

My speech was anything but graceful - I confess. I wish I could have done better. Glad to still be on His Potter's Wheel .

May the Lord place my wrongdoings into His sea of forgiveness and help me to walk
upright-with wisdom - as He purposed .

Thanks for sharing those verses . Will read them again and again this week-end.

**Someone on my Shoutlife page shared the following verse as well , Hillbilly. I am truly thankful for my Christ family.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray,
and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.

I thank God right now for you and everyone here .

Love ,

Julie

Thank goodness we have a forgiving Lord. I'm sure if you were less than graceful, you were tried by a situation that was not of your doing. Don't be hard on yourself, dear one.
And thank you for sharing your prayerful and uplifting poem with us. Big hugggg!

living saint as I know, so I doubt it was much of a transgression, sugah. Rest easy in the knowledge that our Lord is a forgiving Lord.

Several places in scripture it says how God gives grace to the humble..He raises up the humble etc...so humility is something we need to remember and if we forget, we will be reminded! :-)

This reminded me of a passage from Pilgrim's Progress.

He that is down need fear no fall
He that is low no pride
He that is humble ever shall
Have God to be his guide.

I read Pilgrim's Progress a few years back during a weekly fellowship bible study I was part of.

I enjoyed the book.

Hope you have a great week-end.

(((( HUGS ))),

Julie
