I think God was present in that. Maybe you needed to go through that to really appreciate Him.

I had very little if any witness for my Lord. My being a Christian was a well kept secret. You couldn't tell it by my actions nor my talk. I am ashamed that I was a.w.o.l. for those ten years.

Each of us has only so many days and years. We don't know the number allotted to us. All of us should live each day as if it would be our last and the next day we would be giving account before Jesus.

Those years are gone and cannot be recalled. I count them as wasted years. I have asked for forgiveness and have been forgiven but that still doesn't alter what could have been accomplished had I been in the Lord's service instead of the devil's.

But God has forgiven you, so you should forgive yourself, too, don't you think? You have made up for it in your walk since. Stop being so hard on yourself. 8-)
