WITHOUT THOUGHT

Daniel 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

There are some things in life that come our way that should require no thought or debate as to our response to the specific situation. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego found themselves in such a situation and their response to it should be our response in matters challenging the commandments of God. They found themselves having to make choice between staying true to God or bowing to an idol. Their answer to king Nebuchadnezzar is classic and has been memorialized for two and one half centuries. "we are not careful to answer thee in this matter". . It did not matter that to refuse to bow meant incineration in a furnace of fire there was no debate. No one asked the question; "What are we going to do?"

We live in an age that is getting more and more dangerous to true Christians in this world. We are being faced with political correctness and laws against "hate speech" that place us in positions where we must choose to either serve God or go along with the system. About a week and a half ago I met with a man who was measuring our windows at the Church for a replacement.quote. He looked around and complimented me on how nice the church house looked and noticed our board where we posted the numbers we ran in Sunday School. He thought they were quite large for a small country Church and inquired as to our worship service numbers. I told him they ran about twice or a little over the Sunday School numbers. He then commented on how his Church used to run high numbers but they had gone through a split and half to congregation had left. I asked him what Church he attended and he told me it was St. Luke's Episcopal and they had split over the ordaining of homosexuals into the ministry. He said he did not agree with homosexuality and was much against allowing them as pastors to the Church but he stayed and then explained the reason for staying. He didn't want to take the chance of confusing his son. He said he felt he needed to stay to give him a sense of permanency and foundation in the church.

Folks, I don't even have to be careful in my response to such. I would not raise my children in a church where it was taught it was ok to live in a manner God called an abomination and gave sentence they were to be put to death for such an abomination. (Lev. 20:13) Political correctness tells us to treat it as an alternate lifestyle. I will not be careful nor politically correct but will tell you it is not and alternate lifestyle but a deathstyle that will destroy the perpetrators as well as those who go along with it.

There is a movement in the world and even Christianity today to accept Islam. They will tell you that Allah is the same God as the God of Abraham. I will not tiptoe nor debate within myself in giving answer to those who would make Islam as a religion equal to Christianity. HOG WASH!!! Islam is a religion of hate and not love. It is a religion of violence and not peace. "By their fruits ye shall know them" (Matt. 7:15-20) It is a religion that has it's roots in Babylon and the worship of the moon goddess. It is Satan's religion and the religion of the anti-Christ.

"Abortion on demand is a matter of a woman's choice." I will not be careful to give answer to such a statement. Again HOG WASH!!. Abortion is the murder of a helpless human being before it can see the light of day. God said "Be fruitful and multiply" (Gen. 1:28) and he didn't say use abortion as a means of birth control. God have mercy on us for the sins of this people.

I hope no one reading this is caught up in the snare of political correctness. I hope all who are reading this are strong enough in their Christian convictions that they would say with me in matters such as this that we are not careful to give answer. We don't have to take time to think of what we are going to say or do but we will automatically without forethought stand with the God of the Bible, our Redeemer and Lord.

It could conceivably come to the point where we would be faced with a choice of rejecting our faith or being put to death. May we have the courage of our convictions and be willing to say as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that "we are not careful to answer thee in this matter."

Amen and Amen. Well stated and my sentiments exactly. I have often prayed that if it comes to a choice between standing up for God and His Word or death (beheading) that I will have the strength to stand with God.

should the test come but from what I have read concerning martyrs it appears that God steps in and gives the strength. Without He we can do nothing but Christ Jesus we can do all things.

When hou get a vision of heaven death doesn't seem so bad at all.

Relying on myself, I would probably falter and cringe in shame.
