Subject: Update Author: Hillbilly [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 15:17:46 02/10/11 Thu Dale has been admitted to the hospital. We went to the doctor this morning and he confirmed what we already believed. Dale has a blockage in the intestine caused by her Crohn's. They have her on a high dosage of Prednisone and have put a tube down her throat to syphon stomach content until the obstruction clears. This happened nearly a year ago and we expect it take possibly a week to clear up. Please keep her in your prayers. I'm glad they admitted her and got to the root of the problem so they can get her fixed up and back home. The poor woman is so susceptible to these attacks, isn't she? Crohn's is an insidious disease and I am so sad that she has to live this way. All the more it makes me appreciate what a good man you are, HB. I think having a loved one who needs such care as Dale does humbles a spouse and I know you, along with the Lord, can handle all that comes her way because you DO have the Lord with you. Please try to rest as much as you can when she's resting. We don't want you getting sick, too, hon. We will keep Dale lifted in prayer and you, too. xo dori

[> Subject: Stomach syphon tube Author: Hillbilly [ Edit | View ] Date Posted: 17:19:10 02/13/11 Sun is out. Dale is on a liquid diet and is feeling no discomfort. Now that her tube is out she is feeling much better as her throat can now heal. The tube was one of those "in the nose, down the throat deals". She is also off of her i.v. as of this morning and taking her meds by mouth. If things continue to go well she should be home either tomorrow or Tuesday. Thanks so much for your continued prayers. She is able to eat solid foods and prayerfully will continue to heal at home without any complications. Thank you all for your prayers and support. Dwight
