WhatI find so sad in the current environment is that couples staying together thru thick and thin is becoming a rarity in U.S. society. It's almost like a badge of honor to marry, divorce, marry, divorce and to heck with the effect it has on the children of each marriage. This country is certainly paying the price for embracing the sexual revolution of the 60's. I honestly don't know if it's too late to revert back to the country that the Founding Fathers bequeathed to the people of the U.S.A. but I know it is unless it goes back to being "one nation UNDER GOD" and remember I'm a naturalized citizen but more informed and patriotic than so many that were born here. I find that heartbreaking as I do with what I see happening to my mother country, England.

You and Dale are blessed, indeed. Charlie and I just celebrated our 43rd this weekend. We couldn't go last weekend, so Charlie took me for a nice little getaway over at the little river town of St. Charles, and we stayed at a nice hotel and shopped a little and had a fancy dinner last night down on Main Street. It was so hot that we were pretty uncomfortable for the shopping part, but there were many air-conditioned stores to take refuge in.
Connie, when Charlie and I celebrate our 50th, we will send you a slice of cake, deal?

to you and Charlie. I didn't realize our anniversary dates were that close together.

Time sure flies when you are having fun doesn't it?
