As he is diabetic, and is having a problem with one eye, thinking he may have diabetic retinopathy in it, because of what is happening. And since he is a veteran, will be going to Columbia, Mo. as they have the facilities in the hospital there to take care of him right away if it is an emergency. And he thinks it is. Al used to go to this hospital for eerything for many years, even though he has not been going there recently. Plus we have a daughter living there, able to stay with them while there. Cody taking a leave of absense from work, taking us there.

Would appreciate your prayers for him. And will let you know how everything went when we get back, if not before.

luv ya all,
Sandy

I certainly will remember him and you in my prayers.

I can sympathize with him as I have an eye disease (Fuchs Dystrophy) that gradually leads to blindness. I have it in both eyes and have probably lost 30% of my eyesight.

I thank God for the 70%.

I am sorry for not coming back here and letting you guys know about Al.

I will bend over now, and all of you can kick me a good one.

He found out it is not as bad as he thought PTL. But could develop into something if he does not get his sugar count down and keep it down. As he is diabetic, and has been having issues with his eyes lately. So right now he is working on getting those straitened out. by the way, he is type 1 diabetic, and therefore is on insulin of course.

He used to go to the VA hospital in Missouri before we moved to Arkansas. As he is also a disabled veteran. And actually has been going to the VA for care ever since being discharged. Which has been forever ago. And even after we moved down here, he continued to go to the hospital up there, for this, as we do have family that live just outside of columbia. But then decided to switch to down here for convenience sake about a year ago. But after doing so, they switched him to an older type of insulin than he was on before. And has been having problems ever since trying to adjust to it. Not able to, mainly because it is a mixture of both the slow and the fast. Which he has never taken before at all. Even mixing his own before they put him on one of the newer types. And since then has been up and down constantly.

Anyway, he decided to go up there to see the eye doctor, instead of down here.

Anyway, to make a long story shorter, he does have some problem with cataracts too, needing prayer for that. As he does not have retinopathy like he thought he did. But has some new very small arteries in his eye that are bleeding some, caused from high sugars. Their telling him that will clear up if he gets his sugar balanced. But if he doesn't, could turn into retinopathy. So now he has an appointment with his doctor at the Clinic to see if he can possibly get his insulin changed from this mix they have him on right now or not. I suppose if they won't do so, he will go back up there instead of going down here anymore, like he was doing before. Kind of crazy I know that one place cannot supply you with something, yet another can, but that is the government for you.

Again, I am sorry for not coming back over here right away and letting you know.

Really appreciate the prayers and concern of all of you very much.

luv ya all,
Sandy
