Wanted to let you all know that Al is really doing so much better. They finally changed his insulin to what is called lantus and Aspart, I think it is. And he is able to control it now, generally only having to take the Lantus only, without the other even. That one lasting for 24 hours. Plus the bleeding has stopped completely in his eyes, it being caused from the high sugars. The doctors in Columbia, MO. telling him if he got the sugars down, it would probably stop what was going on with his eyes. Which it has. He is also using some natural stuff along with this too, which is helping. So really appreciate all the prayers for him a lot. It is scary to think you might lose your eye sight. I know about that myself. As I did for a while.

anyway, wanted to let you know how he was doing now. Which is really great. He was on this insulin before, but when we moved to this area, they switched him to this older stuff, and he has had problems ever since they did it.

Hope you all have a blessed Easter too.

Have been reading your posts Hillbilly, getting a lot out of the teachings as always.

luv you all,
Sandy

I praise God for this and hope Al continues to improve. God definitely works and changes things through the prayers of His children.

As long as folks are reading and getting something from my attempts to teach I will do my best to continue.

God bless,
Dwight

Sandy: That is good news indeed and pray he continues to improve and, hopefully, one day is completely cured.

Hillbilly: You better continue teaching. It means so much to so many you probably are not aware of reaching especially me. I'm sure there are lurkers who never post and we will never know about.

Connie, We will be praying and claiming in the name of Jesus Christ that cancer is no longer there at all.

And also for your son too. I have a grandaughter that is also diebetic too and has been since a child. Seems sometimes like there is somewhat of an epidemic of it going on. Especially those that are type 2. Which most adults have. But with Al, he was type 1, even though he was not a child when he did find out. Although strangely, he had something happen some months before he feels caused it. He dropped a car battery on his foot. And honestly feels this caused his pancreas to overwork as a result of the injury, causing it to break down. This happening about 30 years ago. He is trying some natural stuff also, and radically changing his diet. Which has always been hard for him to do because he has never really had a weight problem most of his life.

That is very good news, too, with the change to the Lantus. My son has been using that for a few years and it is working well for him. He also has the bleeding in the eyes from the hi and low sugar see saw and his sight is diminishing slowly, so he could use some prayers, too. And while I'm asking for prayer for him, I'd like to ask for prayer for Charlie as well. He had his colonoscopy last month and the polyps they removed was cancerous. The doctor thinks he got it all, but we won't be sure until the follow up test they'll do in 6 months. At least it is in the colon and not the intestines, so should be easier to treat. His doctor said it was a good thing he came in for it when he did because one month longer and it probably would have spread. I meant to bring it to the board earlier, but I was afraid to actually put it in writing. It somehow makes it more real.

I think. Sorry Dori. I am not sure if I am coming or going to day. As I also have another prayers request as you know. My brother in law is in surgery today having his back operated on after having an accident. A pretty serious operation as I understand. So keep him in your prayers too. As he is has had a heart attack, and bypass before too. Plus is now 75 years old, so not a young man at all. But still working anyway.

Also my sister had an anurism about a couple of years ago, and was told she would be dead after they took her off of the life support, giving her about a half an hour to live once they did this. Well she fooled them all. But am concerned about her too. So please pray for them both. Am waiting to hear how the surgery went from their daughter. As they were supposed to do the surgery today. My just hearing about it last night.

I was wondering if you'd heard anything about your brother-in-law. I'll keep him in my prayers.

You've been having some troubles too. You shouldn't hesitate to bring them here to your prayer room although I'm guilty of the same thing. Getting ready for a colonoscopy is brutal compared to the actual procedure itself but it's certainly worth having it done as you and Charlie have found out. I do pray the doctor got all the cancerous polyps and that it hasn't spread. Doctors can usually tell right off the bat but, of course, they won't commit themselves just in case they didn't which is understandable. Those cancer cells are so minute that it is hard to tell. That's why when my surgeon found some in one of the (shoot forgot what's it 's called) but anyway he removed that one and five others surrounding it under my left arm. That was in January 2002 and I'm still around to stir the pot (grin) so don't be discouraged.

The doctor was very optimistic about having gotten it before it spread--and that it was contained in the polyps--so we're going to try to stay upbeat about it until we HAVE to worry. Thanks for the prayers and reminding me of your scary time. I had forgotten all about it. Smooooches!

lurks in every mind I suppose. I have had three spots removed over the years so it is in the back of my mind to come up often.

I have to look at in the context that I can't go until God says so. If that is tonight or 30 more years from now I can't let myself worry over what might be. I trust in an almighty God who can do anything in the way of healing or disease prevention.

God made the body and He knows every intricate detail. Removing or curing cancer is certainly no harder for Him than raising the dead. The old song says "One Day at a Time Lord, that's all I'm asking of You" and that is the way we should take living. Putting our trust in the Lord one day at a time.

Dori, I thank God the cancer was found in your Charlie at an early stage. I hope and pray that all was removed and there are no other cells lurking.

will be specifically for Charlie, Dori's son and for Al that healing will continue and be complete.
I'm happy to report some healing for my husband, who is also a diabetic for 20 years and on Lantus..has also had some eye problems..well he had some problems with walking which have improved since I asked for prayers on Julian's board. Still no job but God supplies every need.
God bless you all.

I will add your hubby to my prayers, too. It sounds like he's in good hands, but with diabetes, there are so many ifs. It was nice seeing you today at the old haunts. You are a ray of sunshine, sweetie. xoxo
