On exmaple I believe be true in this area is the picture of the OT has a message to us concerning we who are the NT temple today. I know a pastor well via the internet that has pointed out many things from the OT that pertains to the NT somehow. Your question was; Do I believe there is a message in many of the Old Testament events that pertain to the New Testament or New Covenant. Absolutely. All of the feasts (see Leviticus 23) foreshadow coming events. The bringing forth of Eve from Adam foreshadows the coming Church (bride of Christ) from Jesus. Calling Israel out of Egypt foreshadowed the bringing of Jesus out of Egypt. See Hosea 11:1 and then read Matthew 2:15. These are but a few of the things tucked neatly into the Old Testament that point to events in the New Testament. When we get to the life of Joseph later in Genesis we will see event after event of happenings that point to the life of Jesus. They are found in the life of Joseph and Joseph is one of the greatest types of Jesus in the Old Testament. One pastor has purported to find 153 parallels to the life of Christ in Joseph.
