Fantastic Post Hillbilly,

Do you believe there is a message within many of the things that happened in the OT, that pertains to the New Covenant in some way of another.

On exmaple I believe be true in this area is the picture of the OT has a message to us concerning we who are the NT temple today.

I know a pastor well via the internet that has pointed out many things from the OT that pertains to the NT somehow.

That was definitely a picture of what did take place concerning the crucifixian of Jesus.

Thanks for sharing that.

I am glad you enjoyed the post. Your question was; Do I believe there is a message in many of the Old Testament events that pertain to the New Testament or New Covenant.

Absolutely. All of the feasts (see Leviticus 23) foreshadow coming events. The bringing forth of Eve from Adam foreshadows the coming Church (bride of Christ) from Jesus.

Calling Israel out of Egypt foreshadowed the bringing of Jesus out of Egypt. See Hosea 11:1 and then read Matthew 2:15.

These are but a few of the things tucked neatly into the Old Testament that point to events in the New Testament.

When we get to the life of Joseph later in Genesis we will see event after event of happenings that point to the life of Jesus. They are found in the life of Joseph and Joseph is one of the greatest types of Jesus in the Old Testament. One pastor has purported to find 153 parallels to the life of Christ in Joseph.

I am glad to see you post here and hope you will input more into the forum.

God Bless,
Dwight

I will be back. But will have to be careful of Dori. As she told me I had to be good if I did come here. And I told her I would. And I see she threatened to kick you, so I will have to be really careful. As I am this short chubby old lady, that cannot run that fast anymore either. But I will be back to read. As I totally agree with you there.
