In reply to: Hillbilly 's message, "Genesis 22 vss 1-3 Post #114" on 07:47:46 09/14/09 Mon

"I think it was for the shadow of coming
events that the number matched the number
with Jesus at Calvary"

___

Yes- I believe the same , HB.

There is perfect harmony found
throughout Old Testament to the New Testament.
Every blessed page points to Jesus.

Abraham took every step on this journey
in loving obedience to God when
building the altar , bringing the wood ,
and ready to sacrifice
his one and only son Isaac whom he loved.

Abraham - father of all believers ,
a multitude of nations.

Ye are the children of the prophets,
and of the covenant which God made with
our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed
shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed
Acts 3:25

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith,
that it might be by grace; to the end
the promise might be sure to all
the seed; not to that only which is
of the law, but to that also which
is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day:
and he saw it, and was glad.
John 8

Thanks for sharing truth .

In His Love,

Julie

all testing is for our good and "education". Even the chastening of the Lord is for our good even though it is painful. God loves us and puts us to the test so that we can see our weaknesses and strengths.

When we "graduate" from one test we can expect another until we "graduate". When we fail we may have to take the test over at some time but God doesn't flunk us out of school unless we become totally hopeless. It is then he sometimes calls the errant one to the Principles office. (1John 5:16-17)

Glad to see you made it back safe and sound.

No way! I agree that it is nice when Julie weighs in... and the others as well, but you have one little lamb here who needs your guidance and thanks the Lord daily for your presence in this room. Don't make me come down there to Tennessee to kick your behind! *-)

sometimes I feel as if I am "preaching to the choir". It is a pleasure to see your responses "scripture with scripture" to my feeble attempts at teaching.

Your knowledge reflects much time spent in God's Word.

Just keep on keeping on.

Your teaching , reviewing and sharing of
Scripture is so important .
God's word is truth . Scripture is our
authority and His Word
is everlasting.

You teach because this is what God guides you
to do and I thank Him always for you
and for what He gives you to share with
me and others. Not only can I see the
wisdom He has given to you ,but-- your written
voice is one that is done only with
Godly love and patience when reaching
out to me and others.

And that ...means more to me
than you will ever know.

There are many knowledgeable people out there who could teach us much, but they have no communication skills. God has blessed you, and in turn us. I'm glad to see your words touched Sandy, too. I think she asked you a question. Hope you didn't miss it. 8-)
Have a blessed day, everyone!
