In reply to: dori 's message, "Oh my! That's so sad, Dwight!" on 14:31:56 12/05/09 Sat

it seems so unbelievable but just before the funeral started
today word came that one of her Aunts had died.

It it so reminiscent on a smaller scale of how Job lost his family in chapter 1 of the book of Job.

I remember reading how a mother lost all five of her sons on a ship that was torpedoed in WWII or WWI (I can't be for sure) but her tragic loss spurred congress to pass an act prohibiting brothers from being on the same ship. I can't remember all the details but none the less I can't imagine bearing such grief.

Sandy seemed to hold up well today but she has another funeral Tuesday with her Dad and I'm not sure about her Aunt. I don't even know if she is from around here.

All this makes me count my blessings.

So much grief piled on to one lone woman. Poor thing. I'm glad to know she knows the Lord. That will help sustain her, I know. Just can't even fathom such a thing.
I will continue to keep her in my prayers. And you, too. xoxo
