That is very true. Jesus told them this also in John chapter 16. What I find interesting is perhaps why this be true written in the following verses there in verses 7-11. Also what Paul wrote in the latter part of Galatians chapter 4.

Of course, it is not we that does any convicting of anyone naturally. But He that lives within us does it of course.

And they persecute because coming under conviction is not fun. But we all must, according to what it says in Hebrews chapter 12. Except there is uses the phrase chastening instead. Which probably means the same or similar thing happening. Which is something that is pretty much ongoing because of our still remaining in the flesh, our having to die daily.

Thanks, and I will try to come over more often to share.

Blessings,
Sandy

of course is the devil working through the lost. It is he that places the animosity in their hearts and it is he that goads them to persecution as he inflames hatred in their hearts.

The lost are children of the devil and until they are converted they will have the desire to see Christians humiliated and persecuted.

Ephesians 6:10 through 18 spells out who our enemy is but it very hard for us to look past the flesh of our persecutor and see the real enemy who is working in his mind and heart to harm anyone who would follow Jesus.

I look forward to your particpation.
