Subject: Naxos - Maragas beach - Plaka beach

 I was in Naxos during the first week of August. I walked between Maragas beach and Plaka beach. This is a continuous strip of sandy coastline as you can see in Google maps. It is literally packed with sunbeds, much worse than the satellite view in Google implies.

There is very little nudism along the whole strip. Just a few couples, here and there, sparsely situated. In most cases the woman is topless and only the man completely nude. There were lots and lots of families with young children on the sunbeds. In fact I was shocked by the endless repetition of identical sunbeds on the beach and the numerous families, all enjoying the same cookie-cutter vacation experience.

My opinion of Naxos island is that it has become a place of mass industrial-scale family tourism.
